Throughout history, some men have feared women receiving an education, perceiving it as a threat to the established order. They believed it was harmful for women to have the privilege of reading, as this allowed them to develop critical thinking, better understand the world around them, and connect more deeply with themselves and others, thus broadening their horizons.

Thanks to those who revolutionized history by reading so that women today can be freer.

Paper & Ink

The Hahnemühle 310gsm German Etching is made using the round sieve process and features a specially developed coating for FineArt prints. This white art paper, composed of 100% alpha cellulose, stands out for its unique texture: a softly velvety surface with a fine felt structure that gives it a distinctive and elegant character.

Its textured finish enhances prints, giving them an incredible sense of three-dimensionality and depth. Additionally, its premium matte coating ensures exceptional print results, with precise color reproduction, deep blacks, and optimal contrast.

Ready to hang frames

At Stories First, we believe elegance lies in the details. That’s why all our prints include a mat (paspartú) — an element that not only adds a refined finish but also enhances the artwork, giving it visual breathing space and drawing focus to the image itself.

The mat acts as an inner frame, offering both protection and a touch of sophistication, helping each piece stand out and feel at home in any interior.

If you have any questions or need guidance, feel free to reach out — I’m happy to help! 😊

Budget frame _back

Our framed art prints are protected with Acrylic / Perspex, a high-quality material known for its crystal-clear clarity and lightweight strength. Unlike traditional glass, Acrylic offers enhanced shatter resistance, making it safer and more durable. It also provides UV protection, helping preserve the vibrant colors of the artwork for longer. The smooth, glossy finish enhances the artwork’s visual appeal, adding a modern touch to any space while ensuring long-lasting protection.

Art and Its Frame: A Personal Choice

A frame is more than just an accessory—it’s an extension of the artwork itself. Some prefer the understated elegance of black, white, or natural wood, while others opt for bold colors, textures, or patterns that add personality. There’s no right or wrong choice, only what resonates with you.

If you’re unsure where to start, a box frame is a great option. Its added depth creates a subtle three-dimensional effect that enhances the piece without overshadowing it.

She brings stillness and strength

I placed her at the end of the hallway, and it changed everything. The colors of the books draw you in, but it’s her presence that stays with you. Calm, intelligent, powerful. It’s like she watches over the space in silence—strong without saying a word.

A quiet power

This piece doesn’t need to explain itself. It holds your attention with grace, strong, still, and unapologetically feminine. The stack of books is more than visual balance; it’s a quiet rebellion, layered with meaning. From a distance, it’s beautiful. Up close, it’s full of subtle surprises.

Feminine Strength in Art

The artwork is a bold statement of feminism, with subtle details that highlight empowerment and equality. The powerful design, paired with its intricate symbolism, invites reflection on women’s strength and resilience.

Una pieza con mensaje… y sorpresas

El cuadro me cautiva por su fuerza y significado. El acabado mate sutil resalta su elegancia, y los lomos de los libros, como ‘1984’, añaden un toque.
